Goji processing line questions: feed, yield, NFC and filling

Practical answers on dried-berry rehydration, frozen pulp, capacity, trials and aseptic packaging.

Can dried berries use the fresh-fruit capacity rating?

Not directly. Specify dry berries before water addition, the rehydration and drainage procedure, and the feed entering the next stage. These quantities should remain separate until measured data support a comparison.

Is frozen pulp the same intake as frozen whole berries?

No. Existing frozen pulp has already passed through a prior process. Its handling, thawing, composition and previous treatment need review, but it should not automatically be routed through whole-fruit washing and seed separation.

Is rehydrated dried-goji juice NFC?

Do not infer NFC or fresh-pressed status from this route. Name the actual raw material and process in the product specification and establish the appropriate market labelling with the responsible specialists.

What yield or colour retention can be guaranteed?

A yield or colour-retention commitment needs representative trial evidence, defined sampling and an agreed acceptance specification for the actual incoming berries and finished product.

Does an aseptic filler guarantee shelf life?

No. Product, thermal process, packaging system, hygiene and storage conditions form a validated system. Selecting a filling head alone does not establish commercial sterility or a shelf-life claim.
