Colloid Mill vs Homogenizer for Goji Pulp

Compare milling and high-pressure homogenization for goji pulp texture, feed condition and equipment interfaces.

Define the required texture change

Start with the supplied pulp and the desired product condition. A colloid mill and a high-pressure homogenizer use different working arrangements; their inclusion needs a defined reason. Do not assume either machine guarantees the finished suspension or product quality without testing.

Compare feed requirements and interfaces

Review particle condition, pumpability, feed continuity and the selected machine connections. Buffer and transfer equipment must support the conditioning stage rather than interrupt it. Upstream seed/skin separation remains a separate task.

Use the same material to compare options

Evaluate representative separated pulp against the same agreed product criteria. Include transfer, cleaning and downstream treatment in the comparison, then select the equipment that addresses the actual duty.

  • Current pulp condition and intended texture
  • Upstream separation and available feed arrangement
  • Comparison criteria and downstream interfaces
YOUR QUESTIONS

Before you select equipment

Should both machines always be supplied?

No. Select one, both or neither according to the defined duty and representative product assessment.

Does homogenization remove seeds?

It does not replace a separately specified seed/skin separation stage.
