How goji pulping and refining work

Separation has two outputs

Prepared berries enter a separation zone where the rotor and screen help pass a pulp-bearing fraction and discharge a seed/skin-rich stream. Evaluate both. A wet reject may contain valuable pulp, but pushing more material through can also change seed breakage and texture.

Define the feed condition

Fresh, thawed and rehydrated berries do not enter with identical water distribution or structure. Record preparation history with each trial. A result for one incoming condition cannot be transferred to another solely because the fruit species matches.

Make a useful trial comparison

Collect timed, representative samples and separate weights for accepted product and reject. Record screen geometry, machine setup and any added water. Compare texture and seed fragments alongside mass recovery, with the same sampling boundary.

• Inspect the input sample before attributing every defect to the machine.
• Keep product and reject sampling periods aligned.
• Agree which quality checks will form acceptance criteria.
